I’ve loved studying fitness and nutrition since I was a teenager, but I didn’t realize how challenging it could be for moms to find time to prepare healthy meals and work out until I had my own kids – two beautiful boys and a girl, all about 2 years apart.

A Little About My Story
When people hear that I’m passionate about fitness and health, they often assume I was an athletic child – which is not the case at all! I dreaded gym class because I felt clumsy and uncoordinated. However, I always enjoyed spending time outside and being active. I loved running and working out at the gym after school.
I spent tons of time at the gym when I went to college at The University of Texas at Austin. I started participating in Group Fitness classes, and became an Instructor in 2004 and Personal Trainer in 2005.
After college I decided to pursue a Masters in Nutrition and Exercise Science and worked in campus recreation, private gyms, and corporate fitness until I decided to stay home full time when my first son was born in 2011.

Being a stay at home mom was challenging on more levels than I ever could have anticipated. When it came to exercise and cooking, I no longer had the time or energy to devote to lengthy workouts or complicated meals.
Fortunately, I discovered that simple workouts and meal plans can be just as effective, if not more so, and I love sharing those tips and tricks with others.
