The 7 Day Love Your Body Challenge is not meant to be a squishy, hug yourself, self-esteem boosting week. (If it works that way for you I’m very glad, but squishy stuff makes me really uncomfortable).
For me, it’s a call to take action and treat our bodies well to achieve physical health and wellness so we can run in our God-given purpose.
I don’t want culture and the images in our media to set my expectations for how I am “supposed” to look – and I don’t want you to be stuck in this trap either!
The problem is, these pictures and marketing messages are all around us, so we have to be very intentional about focusing our mind on the right things. Our concern can’t just be what will help us burn the most calories, cut the most fat, and lose the most weight.
Instead, we have to be proactive about doing those things that will lead to better
